VIDEO: Winning Hearts With Candy And Community Service

Jody Nazarchyk got involved with school activities years ago while her daughters were students in the Waterford school district. The girls have graduated but Nazarchyk wasn't looking for an excuse to leave her posts at the concessions stand and the town board of education.

Friend and colleague Kathleen McCarty said, 'if you are pressed for time, you don't want to walk next to Jody because she knows just about everyone and everyone loves Jody so they want to talk to her and say hello."

Nazarchyk is also an active member of the Waterford Week planning committee, the school building committee, a youth service bureau task force, the health insurance sub-committee, the PTO and many more.
