Well here is yours! There is a parade in Waterford this Saturday. This Saturday, meaning August 12, 2023. 5 days away. This weekend. Not Friday, not Sunday, but the day in-between....Saturday.
There are many good places to sit and watch, like anywhere on Rope Ferry Road between Town Hall and North Road.

There will not be many good places to drive, say between the hours of 9am-12pm...because the roadway will be closed. Rope Ferry Road (Rte 156) between Boston Post Road (Rte 1) and North Road. Detours will be set up, but traffic will be impacted or diverted on Great Neck Road (Rte 213), Avery Lane, Rope Ferry Road and North Road.
Quite a bit of entertainment after the parade on the green at Rope Ferry Road and Avery Lane if interested.
Weather looks good, so make a half-day out of it. Just plan for the road closures in advance and all will be great.
