Waterford Police Investigate ATM Robbery and Reported Burglaries

Waterford Police are investigating a robbery at the ATM located at Bank of America, 68 Boston Post Road, in Waterford. The 911 call came in at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Both Waterford Police Department and New London Police Department's K-9 unit responded to the call.

According to Waterford Police, the victim was making a night deposit into the depository box when someone ran up from behind, grabbed the night deposit bag from the victim and pushed the victim aside. The suspect fled the scene heading east toward Willetts Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’1” wearing blue jeans, a dark long sleeve shirt and a white or tan loose fitting mask that covered his face.

Additional Investigations Into Reported Burglaries

Waterford Police are also investigating a number of burglaries that were reported last week in the following locations: 

  • Rope Ferry Road on July 25 at around 10:20 p.m.
  • Brook Street on July 25 at 12:10
  • Old Colchester Road on July 24
  • Mayfair Drive on July 22
  • A larceny reported at Mago Point Boat Launch on July 21 (4th Street) 
Waterford Police also responded to burglar alarms reported at: 
  • A residence on 7th Avenue, July 20.
  • A residence on Lloyd Road, July 22.
