Have you noticed the flags waving around Waterford Town Hall?
MetroCast and cable company employee Virgilio Aparicio volunteered to help Waterford decorate for the Fourth of July yesterday. Using a company bucket truck, Aparicio installed about 16 American flags along Rope Ferry Road and Boston Post Road.
The Waterford Republican Town Committee purchased the flags in honor of our veterans for this patriotic display. The Committee then asked MetroCast to help with the installation, because it takes a bucket truck to do the job.
Republican Town Committee chairwoman Kathleen McCarty said MetroCast has been helping the town install American flags for the holiday for about a decade now. Additional flags have been ordered that will be installed at a later date.
