Waterford Resident Wins Huge Lottery Prize

WATERFORD, CT — A Waterford resident won $40,000 playing the CT Lottery. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, won playing Mega Millions.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Christophers Cafe at 958 Poquonnock Road in Groton.

Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and keep them in a secure place. Prizes must be claimed within designated time frames, depending on the game.

The Connecticut Lottery says proceeds from ticket sales support education and other public programs across the state.
