Waterford's Lancers To Play For State Baseball Title!
Waterford High School's baseball team beat Notre Dame of West Haven on Tuesday. The Lancers will go up against New Canaan in the championship game.

The Lancers beat Notre Dame of West Haven 2-0 in Tuesday night's semifinal baseball game at Palmer Field in Middletown, advancing to the state Class L Championship Game.
The Norwich Bulletin reports the game was a scoreless tie until the bottom of the fifth inning. Sophomore Justin Pandolfe, who had been pitching for the Junior Varsity team until the end of the season, pitched a complete game.
“We knew he was pitching well (in JV),” Waterford coach Art Peluso told the Norwich Bulletin. “We were like, ‘You know what, let’s give him a shot.’ He’s just been awesome.”
The second-seeded Lancers will play number four-seeded New Canaan at Palmer Field on Friday or Saturday.
