Major Luxury Discount Clothing Chain To Close West Hartford Shopping Center Store

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A Saks Off 5th clothing store in West Hartford is one of nine store locations planned to close early next year, a Saks Global spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.

In a statement sent to Patch, the spokesperson said the West Hartford store, located in The Corbin Collection shopping center, is expected to close in January 2026.

"This closing is part of a larger strategic initiative to optimize our Saks Off 5th store presence, through both initiatives to drive performance and elevate the customer experience," the spokesperson said in a statement. "We are confident this will better position the Saks Off 5th business for long-term success and look forward to continuing to deliver for our customers across our other store locations and online at saksoff5th.com."

The West Hartford location is among nine stores expected to close beginning in January 2026.

In addition to West Hartford, Saks Off 5th store closures are also planned for three locations in Pennsylvania and once each in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas and Washington, D.C.

Saks Off 5th is the off-price version of luxury department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue.

In addition to discount designer clothing, Saks Off 5th sells also sells jewelry, handbags and other items at discount prices.

In Connecticut, Saks Off 5th also operates stores in Stamford and Clinton.
