WEST HARTFORD, CT — A motorcyclist is recovering from serious injuries stemming from a Thursday night crash in West Hartford.According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to a car versus motorcycle collision on New Britain Avenue near I-84 East around 9 p.m.Police said the people inside the car were not injured; however, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.The crash closed New Britain Avenue between Ridgewood Road and Berkshire Road in both directions as the West Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team investigated.It was not immediately known what caused the crash.
