West Hartford DPW Open Saturdays For Dump Permit Distribution

Starting this Saturday through June, residents can get their permits on Saturdays for the town's yard waste and recycling center.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — With spring yard projects dominating residents' weekends, the West Hartford Public Works Department has special Saturday hours starting this Saturday to help out.

The public works department, 17 Brixton St., West Hartford, will hold special Saturday customer service hours for West Hartford Yard Waste and Recycling Center permit pick-ups and purchases from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 10, May 17, June 14, and June 21.

Permits may be purchased online for pick up at Public Works or in person at Public Works with a credit card, Wednesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The office is closed for lunch from Noon to 1 p.m.

People should have their vehicle registration on hand when picking up the permit. Commercial or out-of-town vehicles are not allowed.

Permits may also be picked up or purchased at the DPW customer service window, Wednesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Day permits are available on an exception basis.

The West Hartford Yard Waste & Recycling Center, 25 Brixton St., West Hartford, is open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon (last vehicle accepted at 11:45 a.m.)
