West Hartford Man Charged With Threatening Following 'Disturbance': PD
He is accused of causing a "minor disturbance" then fleeing the area, police said. Officers recovered a firearm at his home.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford man is accused of causing a disturbance on Dover Road and then fleeing the area, police said.
Officers responded to what they called a "minor disturbance" in the area of 20 Dover Road on Saturday at around 7:30 p.m. (Officers didn't specify the nature of the disturbance.)
The suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Joseph Yankus of West Hartford, fled the area.

Police temporarily closed the area's roads while they looked for Yankus, and they found him on Robin Road. A "firearm was recovered" at his Robin Road home, police said.
Yankus was charged with first-degree threatening, two counts of second-degree breach of peace, first-degree reckless endangerment, and interfering with an officer. He was held on a $500,000 bond pending his arraignment at Hartford Superior Court.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no current threat to the public.
