WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of West Hartford's own was honored recently as part of Municipal Clerks Week, which was last week.
West Hartford Town Clerk Leon Davidoff was named to the 2025 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll.

He is one of 300 municipal clerks from 33 states to receive this recognition, according to the town.

The week of May 4-10 is recognized as Municipal Clerks Week, allowing the town to show appreciation to the office "for their vital services and unwavering dedication to our community," wrote the town.
"The office of the town clerk is a time-honored institution vital to local government worldwide and the oldest among public servants," wrote the town.
"Acting as a professional link between citizens, local governing bodies, and government agencies at various levels, the office of the town clerk upholds neutrality and impartiality, providing equal service to all."
The Municipal Clerks Honor Roll is a recognition program that allows municipal officials, private citizens, and other colleagues to acknowledge and pay tribute to the city and town clerks.
