3-Alarm Fire Displaces 12 In West Haven

Crews battled two fires in West Haven on Saturday night, according to officials.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Four families were displaced from their home after a three-alarm fire on Colemen Street in West Haven on Saturday night, according to officials.

The American Red Cross is helping four families – eight adults and four children – after the fire, according to a news release. Red Cross responders included: Courtney Chapman, Nelson Santos, Steve Drumheller and Kathy Wong.

WTNH News 8 reports firefighters responded around 7:20 p.m. to a kitchen fire on the second-floor of an apartment building.

Another fire was reported in an apartment building at 200 Oak Street around 8:15 p.m., according to WTNH.

One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to WTNH.
