West Haven Man Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Orange: Police

A driver was killed, and two others were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Orange, according to police.

ORANGE, CT — A West Haven man was killed in a three-car crash Tuesday in Orange, according to police.

Orange police responded around 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 30 to a report of a three-car crash on Grassy Hill Road near the intersection with Hilltop Road.

Police said the initial investigation found that a 2008 Nissan Sentra was “traveling southbound on Grassy Hill Road when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the center line into the northbound lane.”

The Nissan sideswiped one northbound car before crashing into the front of a third vehicle, according to police.

Three drivers were taken to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash, according to police.

Police said the driver of the Sentra, 51-year-old Daniel Ronan of West Haven, died from his injuries later in the evening.

Injuries to the other two drivers were not life-threatening, according to police.
