4 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-95: Police

Two people also suffered life-threatening injuries, according to police.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Four people were killed overnight in a wrong-way crash in West Haven that closed Interstate 95 for hours, according to police.

Troopers responded around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to the southbound interstate after a Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was traveling in the wrong direction collided with a Nissan Altima in the left lane and a Nissan Sentra in the center lane, police said.

The driver of the Silverado and three people in the Altima died, according to police, while two occupants of the Sentra suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.

All southbound lanes were closed for several hours, police said.
