Beloved West Haven 'Nonnie' Puts Family First: Meet Theresa Andriulli!

Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the West Haven area.

WEST HAVEN, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My grandma (Nonnie) is my Mom. I am going to be 20 this year and have been here since I was 8. She advocates for me for my special needs and takes classes all week to stay on top of all the rules and belongs to a lot of different groups that are for the good of all children. My real mom is good, too. My Nonnie drives me all over and puts me first. I couldn’t have a better Nonnie than her.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She advocates and takes lessons and belongs to a lot of large groups that help children and takes good care of me, and I am involved in a lot of organizations that she takes me to. She always puts herself last.
