A Merrick, New York resident recently won 17,777 on a Sparkling 7s scratch ticket that was sold at S & S Minimart LLC at 62 Elm Street in West Haven, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
