Deli Celebrates Grand Reopening In West Haven
The renovated deli has reopened with new operating hours and has more than doubled the offerings of its popular ice cream selection.

WEST HAVEN, CT — The City of West Haven and the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce joined owner David Kelly in celebrating the grand reopening of Prospect Beach House Deli & Market, located at 940 Ocean Avenue, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.
Kelly noticed the location in May and “immediately saw the potential,” according to a news release from the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce.
After extensive renovations, the deli officially reopened to the public on June 20.

“Kelly felt at home with the view, the neighborhood, and the people,” according to the news release. “The warmth and welcoming of the community inspired him to give back by bringing them something he believed they truly deserved.”
Aiming to “enhance the local experience,” Prospect Beach House Deli & Market has expanded its popular ice cream selection from six to 16 flavors and introduced new operating hours, according to the news release.

The deli now opens at 6 a.m. every day, serving breakfast all day, with the grill staying open until 8 p.m.
“Guests can enjoy a full menu that includes New England coffee, breakfast sandwiches and specialties, lunch sandwiches, gluten-free options, a variety of salads, and made-to-order pasta salads,” the news release states. “The deli also takes pride in offering a wide selection of homemade items, adding a personal and delicious touch to every visit.
“For locals and visitors, Prospect Beach House Deli & Market is once again the go-to spot by the beach for great food, great coffee, and great company.”
