Expelled Student Goes To School To Fight, Gets Arrested: West Haven PD

An expelled student was arrested after going to the school to fight another student on Friday, according to police.

WEST HAVEN, CT — An expelled student was arrested after going to West Haven High School to fight another student on Friday, according to police.

Police said a school resource officer working at the high school was alerted by a security officer that a recently expelled juvenile male was on the school grounds.

“This individual was previously trespassed from the school and was advised he was not permitted to be there,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The Officer approached the individual and he ran towards Kelsey Avenue. After a brief foot pursuit, he was ultimately apprehended and charged with his violation of Criminal Trespass First Degree and Interfering with An Officer.”

Police learned that the expelled student went to the school to fight another student.

“We apologize for any delays and traffic issues created and thank you for your patience at dismissal today,” police said.
