Fire Closes Part Of Road In West Haven: Police

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A garage fire has closed a portion of Third Avenue in West Haven, according to police.

Police said the fire is in the 600 block of Third Avenue.

Third Avenue is blocked from Wood Street to Elm Street, according to police.

“This portion of Third Ave will remain closed until the fire is contained,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Please avoid the area.”
