Highly Anticipated Restaurant Sets Opening Date In West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — The highly anticipated Riva Bar & Restaurant is opening its doors in West Haven on July 19, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

Riva Bar & Restaurant is located at the former iconic Chick’s Drive-In site at 183 Beach Street in West Haven.

The Connecticut Scoop reports the grand opening event for Riva Bar & Restaurant and Sandy Point Creamery will feature live bands starting at 1 p.m. on July 19.

Riva offers a “vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates the best of coastal living,” according to a post on its website.

“Our unique venue features an indoor-outdoor restaurant and beer garden, where guests can enjoy food alongside a selection of craft beers from many local breweries,” the post reads. “The expansive outdoor area includes a U-shaped tiki bar, synthetic turf lawn, and fire pits, providing the perfect setting for games and wood-fired pizza.

“For families and beachgoers, our seasonal ice cream bar is accessible directly from Morse Park, making it an ideal spot to cool off during the summer months. At Riva, we aim to create a welcoming environment for all ages, blending the charm of West Haven's shoreline with modern amenities and entertainment.”
