Italian Eatery Closing Storefront In West Haven, Owner Announces
While the storefront is closing, the owner said the business will continue with its food truck.
WEST HAVEN, CT — Louise’s Homemade Food & Baked Goods is closing its storefront in West Haven next month, owner Louise Martone announced Tuesday.
The eatery, located at 4 Ocean Avenue in the Baybrook Plaza, will close on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, according to a post on Facebook.
While the storefront is closing, Martone said the business will continue through its food truck.

“After 10 years in business it is bittersweet for me to say I am proud to be continuing my business on the Louise’s Homemade Food & Baked Goods food truck,” the post on Facebook reads.
Martone said the food truck will still be available for private events and catering.

“I would like to give a huge thank you to all of the people who have supported me along the way, it has been a great run here at Louise’s,” Martone wrote in the post. “Some of the customers I’ve met here have become such great friends of mine and I am forever thankful for that. I have enjoyed every party and celebration with all of you and I would not be here 10 years later without your continued support of Louise’s. I am sincerely grateful for this experience in my life and I am not saying goodbye, I am saying watch out for Louise on wheels!”
