UPDATE: Derby Avenue has reopened, police said in an update Tuesday afternoon.

(Original post) WEST HAVEN, CT — A large brush fire has closed part of Derby Avenue in West Haven, according to police.

Police said that Derby Avenue is closed in both directions from Forest Road to Plainfield Avenue while the West Haven Fire Department responds to a large brush fire along the roadway.
