A 19-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were found dead in an apartment in West Haven, police said.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man has been charged with murder in connection with the killing of his 19-year-old girlfriend and his 2-year-old son Saturday in West Haven, according to multiple reports, including WFSB 3.
WFSB reports Jevon Tyrese Fletcher, 26, was charged with two counts of murder, murder with special circumstances, and risk of injury. He was being held in lieu of a $3 million bond and was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday morning, according to WFSB.
Police received several 911 calls around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 reporting screaming and yelling coming from an apartment in the 400 block of Meloy Road, according to Sgt. Scott Allard.

Additional arriving officers responded to the apartment, where Allard said a 19-year-old woman and a 2 1/2-year-old boy were found dead. They both appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds, according to Allard.
Allard said the investigation is ongoing by the West Haven Police Detective Division, in coordination with the Milford States Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Police on Wednesday identified the victims as 19-year-old Hailey Miller and 2-year-old Ta’naj Fletcher, according to NBC Connecticut.
Family members described Miller as a "hard working mother, always looking to further her education/career," according to a GoFundMe campaign that was launched in support of her 3-year-old son.
WFSB 3 reports the 2-year-old killed in the stabbing was Fletcher's son, and not related to Miller.
