The City of West Haven and the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed The Building Complex to the region with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 5.

Located on the former site of their family’s construction business, the Yanez sisters have “transformed the space into a hub for celebration, fitness, and meaningful events,” the news release states.
The 3,000-square-foot complex offers indoor and outdoor turf fields for sports events, including soccer and cornhole tournaments. It also offers glow-in-the-dark bingo and “Are You a True Westie” trivia nights.

As guests arrived for the ribbon cutting, a Red Cross Blood Drive was just wrapping up and a Youth Soccer Clinic was kicking off—illustrating the versatility and community-driven mission of the facility, according to the chamber.
“This has been a long time coming,” Brina Yanez said. “It took a lot of gravel, dirt and hard work, but we are so happy to create a space the community can enjoy.”
Since opening, the venue has hosted a variety of events, including the first West Haven Regional Home Show, birthday parties, Quinceañera celebrations, family reunions, and numerous soccer and futsal tournaments.
