Obituary: Charles Levertt Hemstock, Jr., 83, of West Haven
Chuck, a tireless worker known for his kindness and generosity, was the proud owner of both the Rand Carpet Service and Shoreline Flooring.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Charles Levertt Hemstock, Jr., 83, of West Haven entered into rest on May 25, 2022, at his home, with his family by his side.
His loving family includes his wife Helen, his children Charles III (Donna), Ernest (Heidi), and Tamara Hemstock; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, Helen’s daughters, and grandchildren; his brother Ernest and sister Sharon Valentino.
Chuck was predeceased by his former wife Helga and two brothers James and Ricky Hemstock.
Although he worked tirelessly, Charles made sure his family came first. He was a dedicated husband, family man and friend. He was known for his kindness and generosity.
As the owner of two businesses, Rand Carpet Service and Shoreline Flooring, Chuck’s sons shared the privilege of working side-by-side with him from a very young age until very recently.
The hours for visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 31st, from 5 to 7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. On Wednesday morning the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church, (formerly St. John Vianney Church) at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford.
