Obituary: Fred J. Rossell, 84, of West Haven
Fred, a devoted family man and friend to many, worked for Metro-North Railroad for over 30 years.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Keenan Funeral Home) Fred J. Rossell, 84 of West Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 23, 1937, in Poughkeepsie, New York, he was the son of the late Cecil and the late Jean Infantino Rossell.
Fred was the beloved husband of 62 years to Joan Hubon Rossell. Loving father of Wendy Rossell of New Haven, Holly Rossell Cassella of West Haven, Heidi (David) Ellion of Albany GA, and Heather Rossell (Joey) Cerullo of Orange.
Grandfather of Christopher (Faith), Dominique, John (Loreen), Reece Anne, Aidan, Blaine, Coen, and Kiernan.
Great-grandfather of Sage and Calyn.
Prior to his retirement, Fred worked for Metro-North Railroad for over 30 years.
The family requests everyone attending services wear a mask.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street West Haven, Tuesday evening May 31, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm.
His funeral procession will leave Keenan Funeral Home Wednesday morning, June 1, 2022, at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the XXIII Parish in St. Louis Church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice at www.hospice.com.
