Helen M. Lutz Norman, 101, of West Haven passed away November 7, 2025 in Apple Rehab in West Haven. Wife of the late John R. Norman, Sr. Beloved mother of John R. Norman, Jr. (Michele) and Gary E. Norman (Darlene) all of West Haven and Nancy Marsh of North Haven. Cherished grandmother of Catherine Marsh (Mohammed Elsway), Emmett Marsh III (Danielle), Melissa Morris (Chris) and Rebecca Robinson (Eric). Sister of the late Sylvia Wiggins, Alan and Edward Lutz. Also survived by two great grandchildren.
Helen was born in West Haven on February 9, 1924 a daughter of the late Edward W. and Esther Dewey Lutz. Helen taught Catechism for St. John Vianney at the Savin Rock School for many years. A special thank you to the Staff of Apple Rehab in West Haven for their compassion and care.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Friday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. John the XXIII Parish at St. John Vianney Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
