Obituary: Jean Andrade, 87, of West Haven
Jean worked for West Haven Lumber Co. as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and cherished time with family.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Jean Andrade, age 87 of West Haven passed away peacefully on December 1, 2021. Born on August 7, 1934, in New Haven, a daughter to the late Pasquale & Philomena DiMeo, Jean was the beloved wife of the late Manuel “Manny” Andrade.
Cherished mother to Kenneth (Diane) Andrade, Sandra (Joe) Zautra, and the late Ronald Andrade. Mother-in-law of Elisa Andrade, loving grandmother to 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, sister of Elvira Craven.
In addition to her husband Manny and her son Ronald, she is predeceased by her sisters Catherine DiMeo and Mary Tyska.
Jean worked as a bookkeeper for West Haven Lumber Co., prior to her retirement. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and playing bingo.
Above all, her greatest joy was her family.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 3 from 10:30 AM – 12 PM at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM, in Our Lady of Victory Church, 300 Capt. Thomas Blvd, West Haven.
Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
