Jean C. Higgins Bruno, 93, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late Silvio J. Bruno, passed away on September 21, 2025 surrounded by her family at Seacrest Retirement Center. Loving mother of Wayne (Joanne) Bruno of Bethany, Steven (Prague) Bruno of North Branford and Joanne (Vincent) Intrieri of Miami, FL. Jean is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Sister of Jacqueline Higgins of East Haven and the late Norma Bruneau, Evelyn Lawler and Frank Higgins. Jean was born in New Haven on March 16, 1932 daughter of the late Frank and Claira Koob Higgins. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an EEG Tech for the West Haven VA Medical Center.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven FRIDAY morning at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish in St. John Vianney Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
