Obituary: Joseph C. Cavo, 73, of West Haven
Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army and was an avid musician, playing guitar and singing in local bands.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Joseph C. Cavo, age 73, of West Haven passed away suddenly on July 14, 2021.
He was the loving husband of Madeline Hanson Cavo. Joseph was born in New Haven, son of the late Caesar and Amelia Britti Cavo.
He is also survived by his children, Steven Marchitto of West Haven and Jody (Dan Sr.) Persson of Shelton, his grandchildren, Danielle, Daniel Jr., Kaylee, Lucy, Logan, Isabell, Sean & Grace Persson, his brother-in-law Howie (Kimberly) Hanson of East Haven, his niece and nephew, Shane & Kara Hanson and his cousin Camille Wenziak.
Joseph was predeceased by his brother David Cavo.
Joe was a proud US Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam.
For many years he played in local bands, as a guitarist and singer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 5pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with military honors rendered at 5pm.
