Obituary: Leona F. Guardino, 87, of West Haven
Leona cherished spending time with her children and family. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and bingo nights.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Leona F. Guardino, 87, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late James V. Guardino, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021.
Born on October 20, 1933 in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Amede and Kathleen Gagnon.
Leona enjoyed her trips to the casino and bingo nights.
Her favorite activities were gardening and painting. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and family.
Leona leaves behind her children, Sebastian (Celia) DiLeone, Laura (Frank) Vingiano, Rosemarie Guardino, Lisa Guardino Acker, and Michael (Celestina) Guardino; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her son, James A. Guardino; and sisters, Anita and Kathleen.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
