Obituary: Marcella DeGregorio Monaco, 75, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Marcella DeGregorio Monaco, 75, of West Haven entered into rest on March 6, 2022.

She is survived by her children Ann Marie (Vincent) Perricone, Paul and John Monaco; 5 adored grandchildren Louis, Gianna and Vincent Perricone Jr., Noah and Madison Monaco and her brother Mariano DeGregorio.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Monaco and her brother Carmine DeGregorio.

A daughter of the late Pasquale and Angela Vernillo DeGregorio, Marcy was born in Cervinara, Italy and emigrated to the United States as a young girl.

For many years, she worked at Pratt & Whitney.

As a crossing guard for the City of West Haven, she enjoyed many years safely crossing the students attending St. Lawrence School, including her grandchildren.

The hours for visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Friday morning the procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII Parish, Church of St. Louis at 9 o’clock.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
