Obituary: Martin “Marty” Luth Sr., 87, of West Haven
Marty, a dedicated and devoted family man, worked many years as a baker for Yale University.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Martin “Marty” Luth Sr., age 87, of West Haven passed away at home with his family by his side on November 14, 2021. For 64 years he was the loving husband of Theresa Marchitto Luth.
Martin was born in New Haven, son of the late Martin and Catherine Egan Luth.
He is also survived by his cherished son Barry M. Luth, his devoted grandsons Ryan and Michael Luth all of West Haven, his sister Eileen Severino and several nieces and nephews.
Marty was predeceased by his son Martin Luth Jr. and his sister Patricia Powers.
Prior to his retirement, he was a baker for Yale University. Marty enjoyed his trips to the casino, watching horse races and he had many other hobbies.
Marty’s family would like to thank the staff of Seasons Hospice for all their care and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a funeral service to be held at 4:30. Masks are requested for all services. Interment will be private.
