Obituary: Paul Anthony Cafiero, 66, of West Haven

Paul honorably served in the U.S. Navy and worked many years in civil engineering as a bridge inspector for the State of CT.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home) Paul Anthony Cafiero, 66, departed this life on August 17, 2021, at his home.

He was born in New Haven, CT on November 25, 1954, a son to Antoinette (Giordano) Cafiero and the late Andrew John Cafiero, Sr.

Paul graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1972 and furthered his studies in engineering. He attended Norwalk State Technical School, Greater New Haven Technical School, and the University of New Haven, excelling in his courses to ultimately become a Civil Engineer.

Paul worked for many years as a bridge inspector for the State of CT. He enlisted in the military and served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Paul truly had a heart of gold and could always be found lending a helping hand to those that needed it the most.

Besides his mother Toni, Paul is survived by his brothers: Andrew (Gloria) Cafiero of West Haven and Mark (Jean) Cafiero of Delray Beach, FL.

He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Anthony (Denise) Cafiero, Andrea (Davide) Cappiello, Jeana (Gennaro) Gambardella, Stephanie (Jason) Roscow and Mark A. Cafiero as well as five great-nieces and four great-nephews who were all the lights of his life.

Paul will also live in the memories of his aunt, Theresa Giordano and many cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 10:00 at Our Lady of Victory Parish (St John Vianney Campus), 300 Captain Thomas Boulevard, West Haven, CT.

Interment with military honors will be held at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven, immediately follow mass. Those attending are asked to meet directly at church.
