Obituary: Philomena Trocchio Libero, 97, of West Haven
Faye, always loving and devoted to her family, was known as a master poker player, superb cook and avid New York Yankees fan.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Philomena Trocchio Libero, 97, a long time West Haven resident, died peacefully November 12th at CT Hospice after a brief illness. She was born on March 2, 1924 in New Haven, CT.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, Salvatore Libero. Faye, as she was called by all who knew and loved her leaves her beloved sons, Jack Libero and Andrew Libero, daughter-in-law Judith Libero, her treasured grandchildren Marc Libero (Stacy Eagan Libero), and Jessica Libero Edwards.
She also is survived by her great-grandchildren Alissa Marie Bartozzi, Asher Salvatore Edwards and Sophie Moon Edwards.
Faye loved to cook for her family and friends and Christmas Eve at her home was the highlight of the year.
She adored nothing more than sitting at the table telling many stories and watching the Yankees.
Faye was a master Poker player and enjoyed trips to the Casino. Always with a dog by her side she also leaves behind her dog, Dusty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 19th, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 300 Capt. Thomas Blvd., West Haven.
Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Anyone wishing to pay their respects should go directly to the church. West Haven Funeral Home at the Green is in care of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Philomena’s name to the West Haven Animal Shelter, 7 Collis Street, West Haven, CT.
