Obituary: Ronald “Ronnie” Andrew Verderame, 66, of West Haven

Ronnie, a devoted family man and friend, was a skilled over 30-year journeyman carpenter and member of the CT Carpenter's Union, Local 24.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Ronald “Ronnie” Andrew Verderame, 66, of West Haven, died peacefully at home on November 19, 2021, after a long illness.

Born in New Haven on March 19, 1955, son of the late Andrew and Elaine (Treat) Verderame.

Survived by his fiancée, Judi Mickmac, his son, Andrew T. Verderame, his brothers John and Joseph (Joanne) Verderame and his nephew Andrew J. Verderame.

Ronnie will be best remembered for his unconditional love and loyalty to his family and friends, his devotion to Christ and the gift of gab.

He loved meeting new people and sharing details of each other’s lives – creating new “friends” everywhere he went.

Ronnie was a skilled 30+ year journeyman carpenter and was a member of the CT Carpenter’s Union, Local 24, before his retirement.

He took great pride in being part of a brotherhood that changed the skyline.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main St, West Haven, for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 23 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The West Haven Funeral Home at the Green has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ronnie’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Smilow Cancer Hospital, EWTN or a charity of one’s choice.
