WEST HAVEN, CT — Several cats were found abandoned in West Haven, according to the animal shelter.
Officials said they are looking for information on “who may have dumped these poor kitties sometime overnight or early morning,” according to a post on the West Haven Animal Shelter’s Facebook page.
“They all vary in age, and some are in bad shape,” the post reads. “They will all be vet checked and will become available for adoption once we get them healthy and settled.

“While we understand that there may be many reasons that people can no longer keep their pets, this is unacceptable! Although we may not always be able to take in every animal, there are plenty of resources out there and other ways we can assist.
“We are just about completely full now so if anyone is looking to adopt please stop by the shelter any day from 8-3 to pick up an application. We have many cats already available ranging from 8 weeks to seniors.
