West Haven Election 2025: Peter Rivera Running For City Council

WEST HAVEN, CT — The 2025 municipal election is heating up in West Haven with plenty of races on the ballot.

Voters will cast their ballots in the Nov. 4 election for the position of mayor, along with seats on the City Council, Board of Education and more.

Looking to make a difference in the community and make West Haven a better place to live.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Cost of living, looking for ways to leverage my experience to reduce costs and provide better services for the entire city.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have experience working with state and federal government agencies, providing advisory services for overall operations at the highest levels to improve strategic vision while maintaining required services.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Partner with the community to identify and assess current challenges and opportunities. Then assemble a tactical and strategic plan to bring them to solution.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Worked with clients in delivering their mission critical priorities, collaborated with them to build multi-year roadmaps and identified budgets to support the success of all initiatives.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Don't be afraid to fail.
