West Haven Election Results 2022: Big Night For Local Incumbents
Thousands of West Haven residents cast their votes in the 2022 state and federal election in a number of key races.

WEST HAVEN, CT — It was a big night for West Haven’s incumbent state legislators in Tuesday’s election.
Democrat Treneé McGee declared victory in the state House 116th District, while Dorinda Borer, D-115, and Charles Ferraro, R-117, were projected to win their races, according to the New Haven Register.
“I am honored by today’s victory and the voters of West Haven for allowing me to serve another term in the General Assembly,” McGee said in a statement. “West Haven is my home. I am looking forward to returning to Hartford to continue to fight for smart solutions to the issues that my neighbors face every day.”

McGee was first elected in December when she won the special election to fill the vacant seat following the resignation of Michael DiMassa in October.
Borer was unopposed and Ferraro defeated Working Families Party challenger Laura Fucci.

Incumbent Democrat James Maroney was also projected to win his race against Republican Kim-Marie Mullin in the 14th Senatorial District.
WEST HAVEN, CT — The polls are closed in West Haven and the vote counting is underway in several key federal and state races, including the office of governor, U.S. Senator, Congress, and local state representatives.
Eyes are on the gubernatorial race as incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont faces off against Republican nominee Bob Stefanowski and Independent Party candidate Rob Hotaling. Several other state constitutional positions are on the ballot, including treasurer, comptroller, attorney general and secretary of the state.
Connecticut also has a U.S. Senate seat up for grabs. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is seeking a third term, while Republican Leora Levy hopes to unseat him. All the state’s congressional seats are up for election as well.

All seats in the state General Assembly are up for election this year.
Residents also voted on whether the state should allow early voting. The question on the ballot is: “Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?
