West Haven Resident to Appear in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' in Seymour

Spotlight Stage Company invites you to join them in October for the company's next production at their new home in Seymour, CT. The sung-through rock musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR features over 30 Connecticut artist working together to bring this production to life.

The show runs October 18-20, 2024 and will be performed in the Seymour Middle School Theater, 211 Mountain Road, Seymour, CT. The production is directed by Shannon-Courtney Denihan, with music direction by Fiona Bryson.

A thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. A timeless work, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.
