Easton Local Hero: 'Selfless And Compassionate'
Nurse Melissa Carpenter is continually putting her life at risk for the benefit of her patients.

EASTON, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
Easton resident Wesley Carpenter nominated his wife Melissa Carpenter as a Patch Local Hero. In the midst of the virus outbreak, he says his wife is continually putting her life at risk for the benefit of her patients.
"Melissa became a nurse to provide the highest level of patient care," Wesley said. "She is the definition of selfless and compassionate."
