Weston Art Exhibit Seeks Local Artists For Showcase
Weston Library invites local artists to submit work for July exhibit; youth and adult art events also planned.
WESTON, CT — The Weston Commission for the Arts and the Friends of the Weston Library have announced a call for submissions for their upcoming "Weston Connections Art Exhibit," scheduled to take place throughout July in the library’s Community Room.
Artists age 14 and older are invited to submit up to three original works in formats such as painting, drawing, collage, or digital art. Submissions must have a connection to Weston, which can include being a current or former resident, working or volunteering in town, or featuring Weston-related subject matter.
There is no entry fee. Due to space limitations, freestanding sculpture will not be accepted. Selected works may be offered for sale, though all sold pieces must remain on display until the exhibit ends. A 10 percent donation from each sale is requested to benefit the Friends of the Weston Library.
