This year, the Weston League of Women Voters welcomes Ms. Anne-Marie Grey as speaker at its annual Betty Hill Forum Meeting and Luncheon

The League of Women Voters of Weston invites all interested to join us at Aspetuck Valley Country Club for our Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Friday, May 31 st at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon and speaker presentation begin promptly at noon.

Guest speaker, Ms. Ann-Marie Grey, will discuss “Dispelling Myths, Embracing Humanity: A Positive Perspective on the Refugee Crisis.” In this presentation, she will delve into the complexities of the refugee crisis, offering a fresh perspective that focuses on eliminating misconceptions and celebrating our shared humanity.

Ms. Grey is a dedicated consultant and former Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of USA for UNHCR—the UN Refugee Agency. During her tenure at USA for UNHCR, Ms. Grey spearheaded the agency's transformation, introducing a grants program, launching a direct service initiative, and significantly elevating the resource mobilization efforts. Currently, she is the Interim Director of Women for Afghan Women and a board member of Refugees International.
