Bridge Street Bridge Closed to Traffic for Part of Wednesday

There will be another closing of the Bridge Street Bridge for part of Wednesday,  for repair work, according to First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.

The swing bridge, whose formal name is the William F. Cribari Bridge, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., he said.

Cianbro Construction Co. is making repairs to the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge, damaged in last year’s Storm Sandy. Work is expected to be completed next month.

There will be detour signs posted during the closing, Joseloff said.
