Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Planning and Zoning Commissioner and Board Member Zoning Board of Appeals (6 years total)

Why are you seeking this office?
I have dedicated the last six years to making Westport an even better place to live and raise a family through my service on the Zoning Board of Appeals (2019-2023) and Planning & Zoning Commission (2023-present). On both bodies, I have been an independent voice, always thoroughly prepared, ready to listen, and bringing to bear my professional experience in land use, architecture and construction. I wish to continue my public service in the most meaningful way, and I see becoming Second Selectwoman as the natural continuation of my land use work in town and with me in this office I feel I can accomplish many of Westport's land use goals.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Traffic. I will work on behalf of Westport with the CT Department of Transportation to improve State Roads and Sidewalks. I will focus on, and organize town staff to be laser focused on pursuing transportation improvements for safer roads and sidewalks, improving local roads and paying special attention to key intersections.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have a professional background in the architecture and construction industries, starting my career at the NY office of Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects and Planners. In Westport I have been an elected official specializing in land use and I am the only candidate with land use expertise. Also, I am the official Democratic candidate for Second Selectman, running on the Democratic line, endorsed by our Democratic Town Committee and also strongly endorsed by Governor Ned Lamont, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Senator Richard Blumenthal and Congressman Jim Himes.
