Downtown 2020 Committee Members Reappointed for One Year

First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff announced on Monday that he has reappointed the members of the Downtown 2020 Committee for a one-year term expiring March 2014.

Established a year ago, the committee has been working to create recommendations for a "more vital, livable and pedestrian friendly downtown and surrounding areas that offer diverse entertainment, dining and recreational, residential and business opportunities."

“Committee members have met on a weekly basis and have held public hearings to receive input from residents and businesses,” Joseloff said in a statement released by his office. “I appreciate the hard work and dedication the members have contributed to achieve the committee’s objectives and goals.”

Members of the committee are Louis Gagliano, Chair G. Kenneth Bernhard, Robert Jacobs, Gerald Kagan, Daniel Kail, Valerie Smith-Malin and Craig Rebecca Schiavone.
