'Move To Heal' Opens Site In Crossfit Westport Location May 21
The unique regional program improves the lives of people in recovery on physical, mental and emotional levels.

Move to Heal, a non-profit organization that supports people who suffer from addiction, mental health and other life challenges with group exercise, recovery meetings, nutritional coaching, and mental health counseling, is opening a location in Westport on May 21st at 19 Willard Rd Norwalk
Free sessions, held CrossFit Westport are open to anyone in recovery from addiction, PTSD, or traumatic life events. Participants take part in a 30-minute light workout, followed by a one-hour recovery meeting.

“We know there are multiple layers to a healthy recovery, but we believe that if given proper post-treatment services, we can improve the statistics and save lives,” said Ethan Hershman, Founder, Move to Heal. “We encourage people in the Westport area to come out and take advantage of this program, which was developed to heal the mind and body.”
Move to Heal partners with gyms to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment with free fitness classes, followed by non-denominational group recovery meetings. Participants receive mental health counseling, nutritional counseling, and free gym memberships. Participants bond on a physical level during workouts, and on an emotional level at meetings. They build strong, open relationships, feel safe, and receive support from others facing similar life circumstances.
