WESTPORT, CT — Fairfield County-based non-profit Rach's Hope announced its fourth annual Family Fun Walk at Compo Beach's Ned Dimes Marina on October 6th at 3 p.m., raising funds to help families facing critical illnesses.

The one-mile, family-friendly beach walk has become an annual community gathering to support Rach's Hope's mission to help families with critically ill children. Participants are invited to accompany the late Rachel Doran's grandfather in completing his annual pledge to walk 1000 miles a year to support the non-profit. In addition to the short walk, the afternoon includes acoustic musical stylings by local Fairfield-based band Ellis Island, gourmet pizza, complimentary beer and wine, and signature black-and-white cookies. Rach's Hope swag will also be available.
