Therapist to Speak on Best Strategies for Merging Families at Westport Library
Therapist Trevor Crow Mullineaux visits the library Oct. 25.

From Westport Library:
Licensed marriage and family therapist Trevor Crow Mullineaux will speak about strategies for managing households that combine people from different families, with specific tips for the holidays, on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Westport Library’s McManus Room. Her book Blending Families: Merging Households with Kids 8–18, will be available for purchase and signing at the program, which is free and open to the public.
Mullineaux describes steps to take that will help not only during the holidays, but for years to come as families merge. This book is organized into three sections: "Opportunities and Challenges" includes a quiz about adult attachment styles and helps people understand their own styles. The second section is called "Five Things You Must Have to Succeed” and the third section is about "Stories and Practical Insights.” The book includes insights from marriage-expert John Gottman and financial-expert Suze Orman.
