2 Injured Following Traffic Infraction In Wilton: Police

WILTON, CT — A Norwalk motorist driving a Mazda3i westbound on Westport Road at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 struck a Honda Civic pulling out of a private driveway, according to police.
The Mazda driver suffered slight chest pain and was taken to Norwalk Hospital; the passenger was not injured.
The driver of the Honda, also from Norwalk, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police issued an infraction to the Honda driver for failing to yield right of way while making a turn.
The week's second arrest came when officers responding to a call for service at a Wilton Crest address recognized the resident as the subject of two active bench warrants stemming from 2022 motor vehicle/disorderly conduct charges.

Police took Maria Arbizu-lita, 53, into custody and charged her with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, each with a court set bond of $15,000. Arbizu-Lita was released after she posted 10 percent of her bond, and was scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 4.
